Qualitative Foundations

For our industry to flourish and standards to be maintained, good training is essential. Newer entrants to our industry will benefit from having rigorous, hands-on grounding in the art (and the science) of excellent qualitative research. In a nutshell, the foundations should be laid correctly.

High quality training for qualitative researchers

What sets AQR courses apart from others in the industry is the emphasis on personal coaching and mentoring. We take on fewer delegates so that everyone gets individual time with the tutors, both in small tutor groups and as individuals. We take our time to get to know each delegate and what their training needs are and will be able to adapt accordingly. Our Qual Foundation courses comprise of two modules. Delegates can take one or both, according to their needs.

Qual Foundation 1: Moderating

  • Hands-on training, from theory to practice
  • Run by Ruth Preston [Peppermint Research] along with guest tutors

Qual Foundation 2: Sensemaking & Storytelling

  • Core analysis, interpretation and reporting skills
  • Run by Caroline Florence [Insight Narrator] along with guest tutors
