AQR Moderating Skills Workshop
Trusted by hundreds of researchers over the past 15 years
8th-9th October 2026
In the age of AI, the human skills of qualitative moderation have never been more valuable.
As technology transforms our industry, the researchers who will thrive are those who can do what people do best: connect with people, create trust and uncover the thoughts, feelings and motivations that truly drive behaviour.
Working in small tutor groups, you’ll learn, practise and receive personalised feedback in a safe, encouraging environment designed to build both confidence and capability as you:
Learn the craft
Practise with expert coaching
Moderate a live focus group
This highly practical, supportive two-day workshop has been devised and run by Ruth Preston, Peppermint Research, alongside a team of experienced qualitative researchers and tutors:
Afra Acquah - Research & Insight Consulting
Charlotte Martin - Charlotte Martin Research Ltd
Ellie Wroe-Wright - STRAT7 Jigsaw
Who should attend?
This workshop is ideal for qualitative researchers with around 0–3 years’ moderating experience, or anyone looking to develop practical moderation skills in a supportive environment.
Places are deliberately limited to ensure every delegate receives personalised coaching and feedback.
